The official website of Mozzman has been launched on Monday.

According to a press release, the site will be a definite source of news, facts and “just all things” about the Mozzman project.

The release also says that important announcements will be made exclusively on the website in the next couple of months.

“There may be some who have been anticipating this,” a marketing rep commented in his follow-up email. “Nevertheless, people will be delightfully surprised.”

Fans of the incomparable team of Kate Crash and Hiro Super have long been clamoring for it, as it has been banned from internet as part of the band’s innovative marketing strategy. Note: Michael Jackson has passed away on 6/25/2009. Jackson has left great legacy in pop culture and influenced virtually every artist that came after him. Hiro Super is certainly one of them. This post is Super’s reaction to this tragic news.

Note 2: Hiro Super will be performing in the Kate Crash band tonight (6/26/2009 Friday) in Glendale in the U.S. states of California. The venue is the Scene, and the band’s start time is around midnight.   

マイケル・ジャクソンが帰らぬ人となりました。このショービズ界の超大物の訃報、全く予想していなかった出来事だけに、未だに規模の大きなジョークなのではと思ってしまいます。

まさに不意打ちだった今回のマイコーの死去、私と同様に反応に戸惑う人が多いようです。

それは彼が、既に長年にわたり“生きる伝説“としてポップカルチャーに君臨していたからかもしれません。

マイコーのエンターテイナーとしての功績はご存知の通り、凄まじいものがあります。ジャクソン5、ムーンウォーク、スリラー….。彼の代名詞ともいえるこれらのキーワードは、彼が活躍した時代のポップカルチャーの象徴であるだけでなく、まさにその時代を作り上げたものといっても過言ではありません。

「スリラー」に関しては、ミュージックビデオというアートフォームを一手に作り上げただけでなく、このアートジャンルの最高峰として、未だに世界中の映像・音楽アーティストが留まることなく分析を続けています。

私Hiro Superが出演する Kate Crashの「Sawago!」ミュージックビデオも、マイコーの「スリラー」の影響を少なからずとも受けたものといえます。

伝説の人、マイコー。伝説のエンターテイナー、マイコー。

そして、マイコーを語る上で欠かせないのが彼に纏わる数々のスキャンダルです。

黒人から白人への変身手術。その副作用ともいえる肌、顔面の変容。未成年者に対する性的虐待の疑惑。奇妙な言動の数々…。

この一連のスキャンダルも誰も真似の出来ないマイコーの伝説です。

世界中のファン、メディアが彼の訃報に対し反応に戸惑っているのは、このスキャンダル伝説が、エンターテイナーとしての彼の伝説に大きく影を落としているからでしょう。

Note: Hiro Super’s pro wrestler idol Mitsuharu Misawa passed away on Saturday during a match in Hiroshima. Much condolences to his family, friends, and fans across the globe.

ジャイアント馬場の意思を引き継ぎ、プロレスという特異といえる格闘エンターテイメント文化の向上に命を捧げてきた氷川こと、三沢光晴氏が、試合中　バックドロップを受けて息を引き取った…。
 

ひとつの時代の終わりを感じさせる大事件。

中学時代、三沢氏が繰り出すその素晴らしい技の数々に狂喜していた自分…。

成人して社会に出た後も、この永遠の全日チャンピョン三沢が、変わらずリングの上で活躍しているという事実は、辛い局面に瀕した時の自分を、精神的に何度も救ってくれたものです。

Kate Crash and her gypsy rock n roll animal band crashed the Viper Room in Hollywood on March 3, 2009.

I heard and (actually felt) that the Crash band completely brought down the house, and the show was a smashing success for all involved in the Crash alien invasion / art revolution project, which the Japanese government should notice before it becomes too late.

Speaking of that country, I was so fortunate to have been imported by Kate from Tokyo in October last year. There have been so many great things happening to me since I became the latest Japanese import to the United States, but nothing can beat the Viper Room experience, which, I repeat, was personal and artistic victory for everyone.

In every show right before the sound of “Sawago!” fills the house with “ikareteru (crazy)” and “ikashiteru (cool)” spirits, I say this to the audience with classic Hiro Super campiness.

“You are about to witness the most entertaining thing on earth!!!!”

I have no doubt, no hesitation about this statement.

2009年3月3日、ハリウッドを代表する有名クラブ「The Viper Room (バイパー・ルーム)」にて披露されたケイト・クラッシュのジプシーロックショーは、大盛況のうちに幕を閉じました。

現在のグローバル音楽業界を牽引するアーティスト、業界/メディア関連者を前に、日本のファンには既にお馴染みの「Sawago!」のフルパフォーマンスで、ショーはスタート。

「Ain’t Got Much」、「Lez Get Criminal」 などなど、昨年東京のストリートで披露し、大反響を得た曲の数々も、バンドによるフルバッキングによりさらに開花。

ショーが終わった後のアフターパーティもお大いに盛り上がりました。

Hiro Super’s first live show gig at Cinespace in Hollywood on Sunday was a smashing success!!!The show was so well received by audience that, several hours after the show, KROQ, one of the biggest music radio stations in the United States, mentioned us on air and named her their “Picks for 2009“.

Kate Crash’s rock n roll revolution crew will next be seen at Bordello on January 15 (Thu)!!!!

ショーが終了して間もなく、KROQというカリフォルニアナンバーワンの音楽ラジオ局で、「2009年、最も注目すべきバンド」として取り上げられる事に！
