Where’d they go next??? DRAGONFLY in Hollywood on Sep 22!

The next Kate Crash Show will be at Dragonfly in Hollywood on September 22, 2009. There is a rumor in town that the show will feature Ms. Crash’s newest song called (beep! beep! beep!). Also, according to the band’s multi-talented feline girl Marlena Dali, the show is also going to showcase the new side of Hiro Super, Tokyo’s perennial teen idol who has been performing with Ms. Crash since her days of street performing tour in Asia.

The Kate Crash Show @ the Roxy! Super Shines!

At long last, the rawdiest, rock n rollest, hottest gang of punks led by Kate Crash stormed the Roxy Theatre in Hollywood on August 25. The gang of misfis completely brought down the house with die-hard fans screaming “Kate Crash!!!” and “Hiro Super!!!” at the top of their lungs.

The highly anticipated return of the Kate Crash band to the West Coast’s live music scene was much cheered by critics and fans.

“The show was the very best from this wonderfully talented and charismatic group of artists,” said a music industry expect. “I have seen most of their live shows so far, and I have concluded that they are totally incapable of boring us. They are totally incapable of failing to entertain and impress the audience with their energy, creativity and magic.”

“The Kate Crash Show” started with the teen-idol-turned-sexiest-guy-from-Tokyo-alive Hiro Super’s powerful opening monologue, which lead beautifully to the first number “Lez Get Criminal.”

This sometimes comical and overall magnificent musical homage to the spaghetti western quickly set the pace of the night, making the audience convinced that they are in for something unusual and fun.

Toward the end of the song, fans of Kate Crash & Hiro Super were much delighted to see the gun fight between the odd couple. The shootout, which ends with Super falling down to the ground firmly gripping his weapon, is one of their fans’ most favorite scenes in live shows, a skit the two have been doing since their days of street performing in Tokyo and Yokohama.

“It just keeps better and better, ” said Yuki, who, as a fan, has been closely following Crash and Super’s art activities since “SUB: Way of Samurai”. The samurai movie starring the two, with original concept by Ms. Crash and directed by French cinemaestro Cris Ubermann, made Crash and Super an international sensation last year in low-budget experimental short film community.

“In the samurai movie,” said Yuki, “Super as Kojiro waits impatiently for the arrival of Crash as Musashi. [After the Roxy show], I am impatient as hell. I just cannot wait for the next Kate Crash Show.”

The band’s next show is at Dragonfly in Hollywood on September 22 (Tuesday).
